Memory Moon

Terms

Effective September 27, 2026

The short version: your memories are yours. Use Memory Moon for yourself and be kind to it. Plus renews until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime. Payments are handled by Paddle.

Who we are

Memory Moon is run by Nicholas Gerwitz (“we”). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Your account

  • You need to be at least 13 to use Memory Moon.
  • Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One person per account. It's for your own memories.

Your memories

What you record, write and upload stays yours. You let us store it, back it up, and process it to run Memory Moon for you (for example, to transcribe recordings and, if you allow AI features, to write summaries and answer your questions). We don't use it for anything else. Please only add things you have the right to keep.

Plans and payments

  • Free costs nothing. Plus is a subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown on the pricing page and at checkout. In some places (like the UK, Europe and Australia) prices include tax; in others (like the US) tax is added at checkout.
  • Free trial: Plus starts with 7 days free. A card is needed to start it. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the first payment is taken then.
  • Renewal: Plus renews automatically at the end of each month or year, until you cancel.
  • Cancelling: anytime, in Settings → Plan → Manage or cancel. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for; after that the account moves to Free, and everything in it stays.
  • Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you like.
  • Refunds: see the refund policy.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.

Please don't

  • Try to get into anyone else's account or data, or get around Memory Moon's security or limits.
  • Use it to store or share anything illegal, or to harm anyone.
  • Overload it on purpose, or copy or resell the service.

If an account breaks these terms, we may suspend it; we'll tell you why and, where we can, give you time to download your memories first.

Keeping things running

We work hard to keep your memories safe (they're encrypted and backed up), but no service is perfect, so Memory Moon is provided as it is, without promises that it will never be interrupted. It's still a good idea to download your memories now and then (Settings → Safekeeping).

Where the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

If we ever stop running Memory Moon, we'll tell you at least 60 days before, so you can download everything.

Leaving

You can delete your account anytime (Settings → Account & security). It's erased after 7 days, and a Plus subscription is cancelled with it.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you before the change applies.
